LFW: Jean-Pierre Braganza AW14

Jean-Pierre Braganza's Baroque n' Roll collection was one of the most memorable from our time at LFW. The show began with oversized biker jackets and dramatic skirts with metallic splatter prints, perfect for channeling our inner moody artists. Later looks in the collection made us wanna scream "Rock me, Amadeus!" as we saw digital prints of Artemisia Gentileschi's artwork grace skirts and blouses.

Artemisia, known for depicting strong females in her paintings, would no doubt have approved of the fierce silhouettes that Braganza debuted on the catwalk. The light quilting, volume and structure captured the essence of Marie Antoinette et al, without actually referencing their wardrobes --not that we would ever be opposed to seeing a boat plonked on top of a model's head -- and the collection felt wearable and modern, yet still exciting.

Speaking of powerful women, after the show had ended our very own mentor extraordinaire, Liberty London Girl, Sasha Swooped us backstage. We had a bit of a snoop around and even met the man himself, who, in case you're wondering, is as charming as his collection.

Karolina Waz's rail! Siobhan and her share the same shoe size. Good to know!

The makeup & hair part of the backstage area. Can we powder our noses?!
